At Cornerstone Press, one of my key responsibilities was ensuring that designs were not only creative but also production-ready. High-quality print relies on precision, and my role was to bridge the gap between design intent and the technical demands of production.

I managed the approval of final artworks before print, not only for in-house projects but also for external client artworks submitted for production. Every file was carefully checked for accuracy in layout, colour, typography, and die-cut alignment. Once projects moved into production, I reviewed print samples in detail including embossing, foil stamping, UV coating, die-forms, binding, and colour consistency. Alongside quality control, I also photographed the samples, documenting finishes and details for both internal reference and client presentation. By overseeing both internal and client-supplied work, I ensured every job met professional standards and reflected the intended creative vision.
Taking ownership of artwork approval and production oversight helped safeguard quality across a wide variety of projects. From catalogues and packaging to posters and marketing collateral, every piece left production consistent with the design intent and finished to the highest standard. This level of care built trust with clients, knowing that both their own artworks and commissioned designs were handled with precision - and supported by clear photographic documentation.
This project strengthened my ability to think like both a designer and a production manager. It taught me to pay attention to detail at every stage of the process and to collaborate effectively with suppliers, ensuring that creativity, technical standards, and client expectations always worked hand in hand.
